Each child is magical being but somewhere along the way some of that magic wears of, and our imagination gets limited due to the working knowledge of the world. But this book is an attempt at capturing the innocent, unperturbed, and yet nascent mind of my daughter.
Each of the letters in the book tries to capture the essence of her experience during the given week or month and is a take on what a baby might think as they try to adapt into an alien world. My apologies if my personal struggle, while trying to keep up with her, trickles into any of the letters. But I am sure that any first year parent would appreciate my creative venting mechanism.
If you are a first year parent then I hope that this book encourages you abandon all signs of adulthood and join in on one of your kid’s adventures. And if you are a veteran, then my hope is that you would relive some of the magic through this book.
If you are planning on having a kid then this book may not be the best place to derive motivation. That being said if you are willing to read into the humor and pardon any sarcasm you would definitely get glimpses into the rewarding journey of a parent.
